CAL is a "grassroots" volleyball program consisting of players from various areas of the Philippines: Bicol, Bulacan, Cebu, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Rizal. The athlete's age ranges from as young as 13 up to 16, with only one 17 year old. Therefore, true to their nickname, "CAL Babies". We have some really talented individuals who have been with us since our program's inception in June 2018. Since then, our team has competed in major leagues locally and in competitions with international teams. CAL has won many championships from year one, with some even against collegiate teams . The same players represent California Academy's Antipolo Campus for DepEd and school-based competitions. Our student-athletes hope to continue the program and stay together at the tertiary level. Since the pandemic started in March 2019, CAL has continued bubble training in its Bambang Campus in Nueva Vizcaya, where the COVID-19 cases are much lower on average.
